Hello again, and welcome to part II of my review of the BBC adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia. This time, I will be reviewing 1989's "Prince Caspian & The Voyage of the Dawn Treader". That's right. 1989 saw the release of a 2nd part of the series based on the next 2 books, yet again part of the famous series of fantasy novels by C. S. Lewis.
And now, some screencaps from Prince Caspian.
The visuals are of good quality, such as the wisps when Aslan appears, and Aslan's magic breath, which is rendered as a yellow cloud. The animated intro to the series, done by TVC, later known as Animation City, in London, is an excellent intro, showcasing a map of Narnia, alongside the castle, and Aslan letting out a roar, set to Geoffrey Burgon's legendary theme tune.
I give this one a 10/10.
Pros: excellent pacing, great visuals, awesome costume designs, excellent music.
Cons. None.
Stay tuned, because tomorrow, I'll be reviewing "The Voyage of The Dawn Treader", from the 1989 installment of this adaptation, as well! I hope to see you there!
