What Really Grinds My Gears: Stevie Nicks

Welcome to The Chronicles of Trevor, the only blog where you'll be pushed off the Edge of Seventeen if you sing said song.

Today I'm gonna talk about a musician that I have disliked ever since I first heard about her. I'm talking about one of Fleetwood Mac's many main singers over their history, Stevie Nicks.

I have many reasons as to why I'm not a fan. The song that most people recognize during her era, 'Edge of Seventeen', has some of the most redundant lyrics. "Just like the white winged dove, she sings a song, sounds like she's singing." OF COURSE SHE SOUNDS LIKE SHE'S SINGING BECAUSE SHE IS SINGING, YOU DIPSTICKS!

Also, the harmonies of the vocals are drawn out and are tough to listen to, especially in the song "Rihannon", or should I say "Rih-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN-on!"
Oh my god, I'd rather slowly jab my eardrum with a pointy stick I found in the woods than listen to that.

Also, Stevie's singing voice almost sounds like a goat. I'd say she'd sing "Baa Baa, Black Sheep" like a master, but not the one that gets one of the three bags.

Her hair almost looks goat-esque, so yeah.

So if I want to listen to Fleetwood Mac, I put on the pre-Nicks stuff.

Except for Landslide. That song is good (unless its the version by "tHe cHiCKs" (seriously, that name is generic, and doesn't have as much of a ring as their former name "Dixie Chicks".) That version isn't good, since they added harmonized vocals, which the original didn't have.

But that's my rant! Thanks for reading
