Anyway, WHDH 7 News. A station whose owners, the Ansin family's Sunbeam Television Corporation, pioneered the "if it bleeds it leads" approach, YET THEY FEEL THE NEED TO PUT CONTENT WARNINGS ON EVERY SINGLE STORY, all because of one reporter that works there being super sensitive.
So there was a story about road rage in Attleboro, Massachusetts yesterday afternoon, and after Olivia Michael (the anchor this morning) told us who was reporting, she said the dreaded "we must warn you" nonsense. I GUESS KEKE VENCILL WAS IN VERY EARLY AND TOLD OLIVIA TO PREFACE SAID STORY WITH A WARNING!
In the words of Patrick Star, 'That's not disturbing, THIS is disturbing!'
Like I said, Keke Vencill is the reason why a station group known for leading newscasts with crime-driven stories, delivered by pounding techno music and growly voiceovers, is now becoming hinky-dinky by using content warnings for just a single missed punch.
But you really couldn't see in detail the wounds of the woman who got badly injured.
Also, if it is a story like that, it shouldn't really being aired on TODAY IN NEW ENGLAND of all newscasts. That is what WHDH calls their MORNING shows.
I'd rather see Keke Vencill fall live on TV, Grape Lady style. *I don't mean it literally, like I don't actually want that to happen*
But anyway, that is just my opinion.
