Radio. The thing in your mom's car that no one even listens to anymore, yet stations still exist. But for the 8 people that do, there's a selection of popular stations where I live:
Kiss 108 (WXKS): Typical iHeart-owned Top 40; repetition of the same 40 songs 6 million times a day,
WATD 95.9 (I live right near their studios): a great morning news show, and a great variety of music.
Magic 106.7 (WMJX): An iconic station, but hasn't been good since Nancy Quill and David Allen Boucher left.
100.7 WZLX: Classic Rock station, one of my faves.
On the AM dial we have:
WBZ 1030: All News, All The Time
WBZ 1030 Is a sister station to the one AM station we're talking about today.
680 WRKO is a talk radio station owned by iHeartMedia, the big bad of the radio industry. In the olden days, it was a music station, playing the top 40. On September 27, 1981, they switched to a talk format, with their final song being Don McLean's classic, "American Pie".
♪ This would be the day that WRKO died. ♪
Especially since we're talking about one of the personalities that is still running the legacy station in the ground.
Of course, '"'"'"Boston's Bulldozer'"'"'" himself, Jeff Kuhner.
If you don't know who Jeff Kuhner is, he is a far-right radio host who is the morning talker on 680, his home station. My van driver listens to this buffoon every morning, which inspired me to make this blog post.
Some of the nonsensical things he has said include, but are not limited to:
- Boston's mayor Michelle Wu should be arrested for letting immigrants enter.
- Calling everyone he can a hackfraud or a witch or any name that wouldn't get him in trouble with the FCC. (For instance, he also called Michelle Wu a witch!)
- Generally being a blabbering buffoon; lying about and politicizing everything.
One time, when he was going to commercials, he shouted "Let's Go Brandon".
LET'S.
GO.
BRANDON.
He boldly went where no talk host has gone before, to the bottom of the barrel!
Also, with all of the hatred towards Asian-Americans happening recently due to a certain thing in 2020 originating in China, WHY ON EARTH is he insulting Michelle Wu without a care in the world?
Like I said, he called her a WITCH!
A WITCH!
In that case, JEFF KUHNER IS A WARLOCK! THERE! I SAID IT, HE'S A WARLOCK!
A BIG, FAT, LYING WARLOCK!
Also, someone should start a podcast where they take potshots at Kuhner's lies and other things. Here's a cool logo I made for it.
Also also, I'm so shocked he has a wife and female listeners, because of his misogynistic remarks against any female politician.
But to end this post on a high note, I am going on a date with my girlfriend Ashley tomorrow! We're going to see "Mufasa: The Lion King", and after, getting Papa Gino's. Stay tuned for photos from our date...
